Edutopia: George Lucas' Foundation is a Super Resource For Teachers

I love Edutopia. Whether you are a beginning teacher or experienced, Edutopia has so much to offer, from technology integration tips to classroom management advice. Several times per year you can download a guide. (Past manuals have included Back to School, Home to School Connections Guide, Think Green Guide) The newest one is Ten Tips For Classroom Management.

Edutopia offers a long list of blogs, forums for discussion, videos and the ability to browse by your grade level. Take advantage of this wonderful resource by bookmarking it and returning often.

24 Resources for New Teachers

My friend Sheila just posted some great news on Facebook: her daughter was offered a job teaching third grade in the fall.  What an incredible feat in today's job market, with schools cutting jobs left and right. (I can't even think about my budget for September) Anyway, that news gave me my next posting: resources for new teachers. I have also given this topic its own page so I can be updating it regularly. Best of luck to you for taking on the hardest job that you'll really love!!
